Calendars

Use Calendars to keep parents up to date about school happenings such as pupil free days, sports days, school terms and public holidays. These can then be accessed via the school’s newsletter or shared to the school’s website and/or social media platform.

Step 1 – Log into your ePublisher account and click on Calendars in the main menu.

 

Step 2 – Within the Calendars Screen, click on the Create Calendar button.

 

Step 3 – Provide the calendar with a name.

For example:

 

Step 4 – Change the status of the calendar to Active and select the applicable time zone.

 

Step 5 – Add calendar categories. At least one default category must be created.

HINT: Calendar categories can be used to filter through calendar events should all school events be added to the one calendar.

Step 6 – Select a setting from the public settings. This may be one of the following options.

1. Anyone may view the calendar by accessing the link on the school’s website or newsletter.
OR
2. Require a password to gain calendar access. (You must ensure the viewers have this password).

Once this option is selected, click Generate Password. The password will then appear in the password box.

Step 7 – Click Save & Exit.

 

Adding Single Calendar Events.

Once redirected to the Calendar Management Screen, under the Action column select the calendar icon.

Adding calendar entries can be done in one of two ways.

1. Bulk Upload. (Use the bulk uploaded if your calendar has been exported from another calendar application such as Google).
OR
2. Adding calendar entries one by one.

To add a single calendar entry, choose the Add an Entry option.

 

To add more entries, select the Add Single Entry button and repeat these steps.

 

Bulk Upload Calendar Events.

Once redirected to the Calendar Management Screen, under the Action column select the calendar icon.

To bulk upload calendar events from an excel document, choose the Bulk Upload Entries option.

 

If the calendars status is active in the calendar settings, the calendar will be visible on all live newsletters under the newsletter header.

 

Sharing a Calendar to Social Media.

 

HINT: If the link does not appear to show when you paste, the popup blocker may be blocking the warning to allow access to the clipboard.

 

Now you can paste the link to your website or social media platform.
